This award recognizes a business whose dedication and contributions have demonstrated a tremendous impact on their local communities. Eligible businesses must have on-the-ground operations in PBS Reno’s northern Nevada and northeastern California viewing areas. Businesses do not have to be locally owned.

Winner | Carson Tahoe Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center
Carson Tahoe Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center, a department of Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare, provides 24-hour help to adults suffering from a mental health or substance use emergency. Working closely with state and local mental health agencies, and in conjunction with local law enforcement and emergency responders, Mallory Crisis Center serves an at-risk population by providing immediate access to the critical care they need, without having to go through the emergency department. By filling this vital gap in local mental health services, Carson Tahoe is striving to ensure the community is a better place to live. Now more than ever, the community needs behavioral health services to support and heal their mental health.

Panattoni Development Company, Inc. is one of the largest privately held, full-service development companies in the world. In northern Nevada, Panattoni has played a vital role in the economic development over the past 25 years. They have developed more than 10 million square feet of commercial real estate in northern Nevada and over 19 million square feet statewide. As of 2023 Panattoni has invested $990 million in Nevada. Panattoni Development Company believes that their work in the community as a commercial real estate developer is equal to their commitment to caring and contributing to the community. In 2023, the northern Nevada office of Panattoni Development contributed $100,000 in donations to the area. They partner with many local non-profits including the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Boys and Girls Club, Reno Philharmonic North Valleys Youth Discovery Music Program, Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation and many other groups.

Jett Pro Cleaning Services was established in 2021 in Washington state. It is named after owner Michelle’s son Jett, who was in Air Force ROTC through high school. Jett tragically passed away before enlisting. This family and veteran-owned business specializes in residential and commercial cleaning. What sets Jett Pro Cleaning Services apart is they cater to veterans and do not contract out. Jett Pro Cleaning Services donates to both the Wounded Warrior Project and the Epilepsy Foundation. They believe in supporting veterans who have sacrificed for freedom and safety when they come home.
